How to Apply a Tape Border to your Photo in Paint Shop Pro

In this Paint Shop Pro tutorial I will show you how to apply a border to your photo. This border makes your photo look like it is taped to a peice of black paper. This would be great for a scrapbook entry or to create a web gallery using this type of border. This tutorial is for beginners. I will write this Paint Shop Pro tutorial step by step.

Paint Shop Pro Tape Border

The first step of this tutorial is to open the photo that you want to use. Go to the top of your Paint Shop Pro window and click File > Open. When the box opens, locate the photo that you want to open, click it and click the Open button.

Next, we will apply the border. Go to the top of your window and click Image > Picture Frame. The picture Frame window will open and you will see different options. Drop the Picture Frames box down and select the Corners Tape frame. You will see a preview of it on the right side of the box. The transparency color is the color of the background. You can leave that black if you want too. To change it, click on the color and select the color that you want to use and click the OK button. I ticked the Frame Inside option on the right. I didn't see much of a difference between the two. It may make a difference on a different type of photo. Click the OK button to apply the tape border.

Now you are ready to export your photo. Most photos are saved as JPEG files. To export your photo as a JPEG, go to the top of your Paint Shop Pro window and click File > Export > JPEG Optimizer. Click OK on the Optimizer window. Then type the name of your photo in the next box and click the Save button. Thsi will save the photo on your computer.
