You can now send birthday cards to your friends on Facebook. With the “Birthday Cards” application, you can create different types of birthday cards, customize them the way you want, and send them to your friends. In this tutorial, I will walk you through the steps of creating the Birthday Cards and sending them to your friends.
First, you will need to go to the applications page and do a search for the Birthday Cards. Once you have found them, click the title. Then click the Go to Application button and finally the Allow button. That will install the birthday cards application on your Facebook profile.
Now, you will be redirected to a page where you can request that your friends send you their birthday. If you want to request this, check the names of the friends in the box, then click the Send button to send the request. If you do not want to send the request, click the Skip link.
The page you are on now will show the birthday cards you have to choose from. You can browse through the pages to see the different cards. Once you find a card you want to use, click the Customize This Card link right below the card. The page will reload and you will have to wait a few seconds for your card to load.
Now you have the option of writing inside the card, adding graphics, adding text, adding photos, and adding objects. Next to the card, you will see the different buttons. Click the button of your choice and add what you want to the card. If you write inside the card, you will have to click the close card button when you are finished. To add stickers and objects, simply click the sticker or object you want to add.
If you want to add a background of your own to the card, click the Background button. Then select the image from your computer you want to use for the background. If you want to add text, click the text button and a text box will appear on your card. Type what you want in the text box and then click off of it.
After you have finished creating the birthday card, click the Send button next to the card. Give it a second and it will load a page with your friends. Select the friend from the list that you want to send the card too. Then click the Send button. Another box will open and you will need to also click the Send button in that box. Your card will then be sent to the person.
