Status Updates are the messages you see from friends on your Facebook page. These messages tell what your friends are doing. You have options when it comes to the status updates. A couple of the options are commenting on the status and hiding the status. In this tutorial, I will show you how to manage the status updates on Facebook.

To get started, go ahead and login to your Facebook account. Then click the Home link at the top of your Facebook page. On the home page, you will see the different status updates created by your friends.

Hiding Status Updates on Facebook

I will first show you how to hide your status updates on Facebook. With this option, you can hide the statuses that you do not wish to see. To hide a status, place your mouse on the status. To the right of the status, you will see the hide link. Click that link and click the link in the drop down box. The status will be hidden.

How to View Hidden Status Updates in Facebook

If you decide that you want to view the updates that you have hidden, you can. You will need to scroll to the very bottom of your page. At the bottom of the page, you will see the link that says Show Hidden Post. Click that link and the hidden status will reappear.

Commenting on Status Updates in Facebook

When someone leaves a status, you can comment on it. Right below the status, you will see the comment link. Click the comment link and the comment box will open. Then you can type your comment in the box and click the Comment button. Your comment will then be posted.

How to Remove Comments from Status Updates in Facebook

If you left a comment on someone’s status and want to delete it, you can. Beside the comment you left, you will see a X. Click the X and click the Delete button in the box that opens. The comment will then be removed from the status.

Letting Someone Know You Like Their Status on Facebook

You can also let people know that you like the status they have left. Below each status update, you will see a Like link. Clicking this link will let people know that you liked the status that they left. You simply click the link and it will show that you liked it.
