How to Insert and Manage Tables in NVU
In this tutorial, I will show you how to insert and manage tables in NVU. This tutorial will show you how to create the tables to insert into your document and it will also show you how to change the colors of the cells and backgrounds. Open your NVU program and create a new page to work on, then we will get started.
How to Insert Tables in NVU
First, we will start off by inserting a table into the document. Go to the top of your window and click Table > Insert > Table. A small box will open and you will need to click the Quickly tab. This tab will let you quickly create a table to insert into your document. Placing your mouse over the number of cells and rows you want will highlight the rows. Then click the last square where you want the box to stop. Once you click the last square, the table will be automatically inserted into your document.
How to Change the Background Color of your Table in NVU
Now, I will show you how to change the background color of your table. Right click on your table. When the menu drops down, click the Table or Cell Background Color link. When the box opens, you will see two radio buttons at the top of the box. Click the Background radio button. Then select the color on the right that you want the background to be. Click the OK button to close the box and apply the color.
How to Change the Cell Color of your Table in NVU
Next, I will show you how to change the cell color of your table in NVU. Place your mouse in the cell that you want to change. Right click in the cell and select Table or Cell Background Color in the menu that drops down. When the box opens, tick the Cell option at the top of the box. Then select the color of your choice. Click the OK button to close the box and apply the color.
How to Join Cells Together in NVU
Now, I will show you how to join cells together in NVU. Joining cells is real easy. Highlight the cells with your mouse that you want to join. Right click on the highlighted cells and click Join Cells in the menu that drops down. That will join the cells you had highlighted.
That’s how you insert and manage tables in NVU. To delete a table, simply highlight the entire table and press the backspace key on your keyboard.
